Instant noodles first appeared in Israel about 8 years ago, and now takes a big portion in most supermarkets.  There are in cups/ bowls and in bags, just add hot water and you have a meal.

There are also instant soups in bags, pour the content in a mug with some hot water, you have hot soup ready to sip. If you like soups, don’t forget to buy a package of “soup almonds“(Shekdei Marak) that many Israelis can’t drink soup without it.  There is even a saying goes that “A soup is not soup without soup almonds.”  These are crunchy little cookies that float on top of the soup, it can make you feel full like noodles.
