The Arava Desert Agriculture Research Organization in Israel has recently introduced a new improved mushroom variety of Hericium erinaceus known as “Lion’s Mane”, and has been named “Trump’s Mane”. It is said that it has the taste of lobster.
Israel obtained the original “Lion’s Mane” from Europe and bred into the new “Trump’s Mane” mushroom which not only can adapt to the desert climate but also has the size of the palm with longer “mane” and tastes delicious.
Hericium is native to Asia, North America and Europe, its delicious rich tastes has been highly praised by vegetarian followers. It has very high nutritional value and medical effect – it contains more than 16 kinds of amino acids, a variety of vitamins and minerals, and according to the Chinese medicine theory, it gives the benefit to the five internal organs, improves digestion, nourishing the body, and other functions such as preventing gastric ulcer, duodenal ulcer, etc. Hericium also contains a variety of carbohydrate substances, which can significantly inhibit the cancer cells.
