Creative Designs From Israel

We often hear “Israeli innovation” in the hi-tech industry, but there is also creativeness in other areas, such as consumer product designs.  Here we will show you a few adorable examples.

1. Music Note clips

These musical pegs by Israeli designer Dikla Libresco for Ototo Studio, makes hanging laundry a joyful task. You, your friends and your family can sing along while you hang your clothes.

Ototo Studio is located in Tel Aviv, Israel. The studio produces a number of different household items including fun and playful kitchen, bathroom and office products.

2. “When Two Become One” Wedding Rings

Finding your true love means finding somebody who completes you, and what better way to express this sentiment than with wedding rings that complete each other when brought together.

The rings are made by Eliad, a goldsmith, and Maya, a designer, who together run Cadi Jewelry studio in Tel Aviv, Israel. They’re available in a variety of metals including gold, silver, and platinum, and there are several designs to choose from.

3. City Rings – Wear Your Beloved Cities Wherever You Go

Goldsmith Ola Shekhtman moves around a lot, so she creates these rings to familiarize herself with a new urban center. Trained in St. Petersburg, she takes the iconic elements of cities like London, Paris, and New York, and turns them into beautiful rings.

Shekhtman does everything by hand, in the manner of the old masters. This means that she melted the metal she uses herself, then rolled it, sawed it, and soldered it into its desired shape.

4. Superhero Bookends That Save Books From Falling Down

Created by the imaginative folks at Israeli design studio, Artori Design, are the Book And The Hero, and Supershelf – a pair of bookends that make it appear the books they’re holding are being saved by a small, yet incredibly strong superhero.

The illusion is created by the use of strong magnets, and feature a mini magnetized superhero. Witchcraft, in other words. The floating effect on the Book And The Hero bookend, is achieved by laying the books against an angled stand, with one book left open so it covers the bookshelf. Factor in the magnetized witchcraft, and it appears the small cape-wearing hero is holding the books up on his own strength.
